Bulgarian Development Bank (BDB) opens up representations in the cities of Vratsa and Montana. Thus it plans to enhance its support for the business in one of the least developed regions of the country – Northwest Bulgaria.
The office in Vratsa is located at 17A, Krastio Balgariata St., Floor 2, Office 5. IN Montana the representation of the Bank is at 51, Treti Mart St., Floor 2.
In the regional offices of BDB citizens can get free consultations on their business and become aware of the lending products offered by the Bank and its subsidiaries, said Angel Gekov, Executive Director of BDB, at the official opening of the representation in Vratsa. “Bank’s experts will also provide assistance under the National Energy Efficiency Program which performs at excellent pace,” Gekov added.
The main focus in the work of the Bulgarian Development Bank is the support to small and medium-sized enterprises through direct financing as well as through providing resource to the network of commercial banks in the country. The BDB Group includes the National Guarantee Fund specialised in issuing guarantees on loans for small and medium-sized enterprises and agricultural producers, and also the JOBS Microfinancing Insitution providing investment and working capital loans to micro- and startup companies.
“We are among the few institutions working with startups without credit history,” said Kostadin Munev, Executive Director of JOBS MFI. IN his words, a leading condition in extending loans to startups is the existence of a viable idea capable of generating jobs.
In addition to Vratsa and Montana, BDB and JOBS MFI have their regional offices in the cities of Plvodiv, Burgas, Shumen, Pleven, and Nova Zagora.
