Vassil Shtonov holds a Bachelor of Finance Degree from the University of Pennsylvania (Wharton) and a Master of Finance from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge. He has extensive experience in banking, telecommunications and energy. His solid practice includes an US VC fund for small and medium-sized enterprises in Los Angeles, the consulting firm McKinsey as a junior partner, leading teams in charge of analysis and management of major commercial banks in Bulgaria as well as experience at the investment bank Bear Stearns in New York. He was CEO in charge of strategies and marketing at the fibre company Blizoo. Former Minister of Economy and Energy (in 2014).
