The Bulgarian Development Bank has a successful partnership with the National Fund "Sv. Nikola" for the implementation of a number of charities. The Bank supports the fund in organizing summer rehabilitation camps and theme trips for disabled children deprived of parental care.

In 2015, the bank took part in the charity campaign of NF "Sv. Nikola" on the occasion of the Easter holidays. Employees of the institution gathered money, clothes, books and toys to support the socially disadvantaged children and adults. The initiative was held for the 16th consecutive year and recruited sponsors for the celebration of the Christian holiday in orphanages across the country.

The campaign covered a total of 10 homes for abandoned children and adults with disabilities in Vratsa, Samokov, Dolna Banya, Debelets, Balvan, Gorski Senovets, Gavril Genovo, Draganovo, Govezhda and Gurkovo. The initiative involve the organization of a festive lunch and a trip to the Troyan Monastery.

BDB promotes the development of creative workshops in the homes for children deprived of parental care and has the practice of buying cards and other materials made by disadvantaged children for corporate purposes.

National Fund "Sveti Nikola" is a nongovernmental humanitarian organization supporting disadvantaged people. The fund was established in 1999 and works with a total of 38 institutions for people with mental and physical deficits, homes for children deprived of parental care, children's speech therapy centers, hospitals, etc. The campaigns of the fund enjoy widespread public and media support and contribute to the development and integration of people in need.
