BDB and BCCI Strengthen Partnership in Support of Bulgarian Businesses
The Chair of the Supervisory Board of the Bulgarian Development Bank (BDB), Delyana Ivanova, and the President of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI), Tsvetan Simeonov, discussed ways to deepen cooperation in support of Bulgarian enterprises. The talks also focused on ensuring that members of the employers’ organization receive timely and regular updates on the Bank’s programs. The meeting was also attended by Vasil Todorov, Deputy President of the BCCI.
The discussion highlighted new financing opportunities offered by BDB for Bulgarian companies, as well as the work of the Advisory Council to the Bank’s Supervisory Board and BCCI’s active participation in it.
Ivanova presented BDB’s priorities, aimed at expanding the product portfolio and introducing new instruments to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). She emphasized the role of the Advisory Council as a platform for open dialogue between BDB and representatives of employer organizations, trade unions, and the Association of Bulgarian Municipalities.
She reaffirmed BDB’s commitment to maintaining the practice of discussing new programs and products with the Advisory Council before their launch, ensuring transparency and public oversight of the Bank’s resource allocation.
BCCI representatives confirmed their readiness to actively contribute to the Council’s work by presenting the positions of the Chamber’s members and supporting the development of flexible solutions tailored to business needs.
The Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry is the oldest nationally representative business organization in Bulgaria. In 2025, it marked its 130th anniversary. The Chamber operates through a network of 28 regional chambers across the country and hosts a Council of Sectoral Organizations, designed to foster dialogue between state institutions and the business community.
