13.09.2022 BDB launches its Business Booster digital platform to help SMEs
The project offers online financing of up to BGN 50,000, free business training and an opportunity to open an e-shop
How to help entrepreneurs from all over Bulgaria to get funding fully online and turn their ideas into a working business quickly and easily? This is the mission of Business Booster – Bulgarian Development Bank’s new digital platform.
The programme was officially launched today. Business Booster is a huge convenience for micro, small and medium-sized businesses in need of financing throughout Bulgaria, since the Bank does not have a branch network.
The capabilities of the platform to support Bulgarian entrepreneurship were presented by BDB’s CEO, Tsanko Arabadzhiev, the CEO of its subsidiary BDB Microfinance, Ivana Tsaneva, the technology partner Software Group and the authors of the main graphic vision ROBO Lab.
The premiere of Business Booster was attended by the Bank's partners in the implementation of the platform Eurotrust and Borika, and representatives of the leading business associations and stakeholders in Bulgaria (Bulgarian Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion Agency, InvestBulgaria Agency, Bulgarian Industrial Capital Association, Bulgarian Industrial Association, Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and many others), and many customers of the Bank.
The platform was launched with the MicroStart programme, which offers funding of up to BGN 50,000. New financial programs will be added to Business Booster to meet the needs of small and medium-sized businesses. Users will be assisted by the digital assistant Viki – a 3D animated image that will help them every step of the way to successfully use Business Booster.
All necessary documents are filled in and signed online. All that is required to create a company profile is to enter the business number (UIC) and the details are automatically loaded through integration with the Companies Register. A qualified electronic signature is also required, for which the platform works in cooperation with Eurotrust.
By the end of the year, a back-office system will be introduced to speed up the review of loan applications – Credit Quest. Business Booster also offers a free "Business Academy" - training with manuals, video tutorials and a digital library where all the necessary forms and documents for starting a business are published, as well as a special tool for creating a business plan - Business Plan Wizard.
To ensure entrepreneurs can sell their products, the Bank’s new digital platform also allows them to open an online shop easily and free of charge with a built-in invoicing module.
