Bulgarian Development Bank with a strategic commitment to education of youth
The Bulgarian Development Bank (BDB) and the University of National and World Economy (UNWE) have signed a memorandum of cooperation. The document was signed by Delyana Ivanova, Chair of the Supervisory Board of BDB, and Prof. Dr. Dimitar Dimitrov, Rector of UNWE.
“For the Bulgarian Development Bank, the partnership with UNWE is an expression of our commitment to the education of young people. The agreement gives us the opportunity to build a long-term relationship with the academic community. As a state-owned bank, BDB supports small and medium-sized enterprises, the public sector, and investments in priority public policies. Economic growth requires well-prepared and ambitious professionals with practical experience. That is why it is important for us to partner with the oldest economics university in the country, with which we share a common vision for sustainable growth, innovation, and preparing the new generation of leaders,” noted Delyana Ivanova, Chair of the Supervisory Board of BDB.
“Signing this memorandum is another important step in UNWE’s mission to link academic training with the real economy. For our university, this partnership is a strategic move toward better preparation of our students, ensuring access to internships, traineeships, and real case studies, as well as enhancing the academic environment with the expertise of a leading financial institution. We are convinced that it is precisely through such sustainable collaborations that we can give young people a real chance for professional development, foster innovation, and create professionals ready to meet the needs of modern business and society,” said Rector Prof. Dimitrov.
The partnership between the two institutions foresees the organization of student internships, joint trainings, conferences and public lectures, collaboration in the preparation and implementation of joint projects, and the improvement of the professional qualifications of representatives from both institutions.
