The Bulgarian Development Bank (BDB) is actively pursuing its strategy of providing smooth financing to the entrepreneurs around the country who need it.
In partnership with the Council of Europe Development Bank (CEB), the state-owned bank offers access to long-term financial resources to women developing their own businesses.
The program aims to promote economic activity amongst the ladies by enabling them to unleash their business potential, create employment and support their self-reliance.
The program provides financial resources through investment and working capital loans of up to EUR 2.5 million, which are offered at preferential interest rates.
Loans for investments can be paid back for up to 10 years and financing for working capital - up to 4 years.
BDB and CEB share a common mission to promote the development of micro, small and medium-sized companies. Their cooperation dates back to 2003 when their first joint credit line was signed. To date, they have implemented five programs focusing on SME financing, employment promotion and energy efficiency. The total amount of funds agreed exceeds EUR 375 million, which have been invested in various sectors of the economy.
The Council of Europe Development Bank is the oldest international financial institution in Europe, established in 1956.
