BDB traditionally supports the activities of the St. Nicholas National Fund. The bank sponsors events organized by the Fund to help children deprived of parental care and elderly people with disabilities across Bulgaria.
In 2017, the St. Nikolas National Fund organized again a rehabilitation camp for disabled children deprived of parental care directed towards facilitating their positive development and social integration. It included over 140 young people from six institutions from Gorna Oryahovitsa, Veliko Tarnovo, Vratsa, Roman, the village of Gavril Genovo, and the village of G. Senovets. The camps were held in Ravda, Obzor and Kraimorie.
Christmas and New Year celebrations for children deprived of parental care and elderly people with disabilities from 16 social institutions across Bulgaria were also organized by the Fund supported by BDB. The initiative covered 880 people.
