The Investment Committee for the Residential Building Renovation Programme has approved a second report covering 129 project proposals for grant funding under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP). This brings the total number of multi-family residential buildings approved for energy renovation funding to 182, following the approval of 53 projects under the Investment Committee’s first decision.

The total funding for the multi-family residential buildings included in the second report exceeds EUR 95 million. The funding is provided as a grant and covers 100% of the eligible project costs.

The review of the remaining project proposals is continuing on an accelerated schedule.

The programme is implemented by the Bulgarian Development Bank (BDB) under Investment C4.I9 “Subsidy Scheme – Renovation of Residential Buildings” of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan. Its total budget amounts to EUR 246,556,225, with the aim of supporting investments to improve energy efficiency, reduce energy consumption and enhance the residential environment.

Approved applicants should promptly begin preparing the documents required for the conclusion of a grant agreement. Please note that up-to-date Partnership Agreements will be required, with a validity period extending at least until 31 December 2029. Following completion of the necessary checks, a written invitation to conclude a grant agreement will be issued.
