In July 2023, BDB signed a Guarantee Agreement under the InvestEU Fund with the EIF. Under the Agreement, BDB and BDB Leasing shall form portfolios according to the eligibility criteria of the respective windows, as follows: SME-Competitiveness – maximum guarantee volume EUR 21 million, Sustainability – maximum guarantee volume EUR 17.5 million and Innovation and Digitalization – maximum guarantee volume EUR 7 million (total portfolio of EUR 45.50 million). The main financial advantage that BDB provides under the three products is a reduction in the credit risk margin with the guarantee coverage rate. Under the SME-Competitiveness product, BDB also provides an additional advantage in the form of reduction in the collateral required by the beneficiary.

The Final recipient transactions in the form of finance leases under the BDB Leasing portfolio shall include no down-payment if transportation vehicles are leased assets; or maximum 5% down-payment for any other leased assets (excluding transportation vehicles). The inclusion period is from 17.7.2023 to 17.7.2025
