The home for Children "Sv. Nikolay" with the "St. Trinity" Monastery is one of the institutions traditionally supported by the Bulgarian Development Bank. The bank regularly conducts internal campaigns to raise funds for the urgent needs of children and young people living in the home and in the protected housing in the village of Yakimovo.

The home, known as "Father Ivan’s shelter", has so far helped more than 1,000 people in difficulty. Many of them are orphans or children from orphanages, who after coming of age remain on the streets without a shelter and livelihood. The aim of the priest is to help them integrate into society and have a full life.
