The program aims at facilitating access to bridge loans for citizens to implement projects for the replacement of solid fuel energy sources (stove, boiler or fireplace) with renewable ones.

Applicants are required to have signed a grant agreement under the National Household Renewable Energy Assistance Scheme (Option 2 - only available in Bulgarian) implemented by the Ministry of Energy.

Thanks to the BDB guarantee, commercial banks applying for the program will lend to realise the investments before the grant is paid with lower collateral requirements, including no provision of property collateral and no self-financing by the borrowers.
