The Bulgarian Development Bank hosted the Gravity MeetUp, part of the accelerator program beamUp lab of the Bulgarian Stock Exchange - a platform that matches innovative companies with investors and experts.
"This partnership is extremely valuable for us. It is part of our mission to support small and medium businesses not only with financing, but also with knowledge and opportunities for growth," said the Executive Director of BDB, Tanko Arabadzhiev.
Products and successful projects of BDB Microfinance and Capital Investment Fund (CIF) of the BDB Group were presented.
"I believe that the start-up community in Bulgaria has a future. We continue our partnership with the EIF under the Invest EU programme, which allows for more flexibility in guarantees," said Ivana Tsaneva, CEO of BDB Microfinance.
Investment Partner at the Equity Investment Fund Kristian Begazhev explained the private equity process and the opportunities for venture capital funds.
Participants in the beamUp lab included BuddyGuard, which offers assistance in pet care with the support of BDB Microfinance, and Quendoo, which assists in the management of online reservations in tourism as part of the CIF portfolio.
Both companies are excellent examples of how technology can transform businesses and markets.
