The story of Balkanski Bilki (Balkan Herbs) began in 2013 in the town of Veliki Preslav, driven by the passion to produce and offer natural products. The gathering and processing of herbs are carried out in line with their pharmacological effects. Initially, the company worked with Bulgarian distributors, but by 2020 it had begun negotiations with international clients from Croatia and Italy, as well as with Austria’s Sonnentor - the second-largest organic tea producer in Europe. As a result, Balkanski Bilki recorded a significant increase in turnover, successfully bringing its raw materials to the European market.

In 2022, the company received a working capital credit line and an investment loan from the Bulgarian Development Bank to acquire a new warehouse facility. There it stores the green treasure of the Eastern Balkan Mountains - thyme, lemon balm, dandelion root, chamomile, rosehip, and lavender.
