Support for Women Entrepreneurs
A new program of the Bulgarian Development Bank (BDB) supports women's entrepreneurship by providing long-term financial resources on soft terms. The programme is implemented in partnership with the Council of Europe Development Bank (CEB) and aims to promote economic activity among women by enabling them to unleash their business potential, create employment and support their self-reliance.
Who is the program for?
Micro, small and medium-sized companies which capital is owned (at least 50%) by women. In addition:
✔ Create and sustain jobs
✔ Have positive equity
✔ Have no arrears to credit institutions or the NRA
✔ Do not operate in sectors excluded from the BRSE
Working capital loans
✔ Minimum total term - one and a half years
✔ Maximum - 4 years
✔ Maximum - 4 years
Investment loans
✔ Total term: minimum is 5 years and maximum is 10 years
✔ Drawdown period: according to the investment, but not more than 2 years
✔ Grace period: tailored to the investment, but not more than 2 years
