Head of Regulatory Reporting Department

We are currently seeking an experienced and accomplished professional for the position of Head of Regulatory Reporting Department.

Your key responsibilities:

• Leads and coordinates the processes for preparation, verification, and submission of regulatory reports to the Bulgarian National Bank, European Central Bank, and other institutions;
• Ensures the timely and accurate application of the current regulatory framework;
• Implements internal control over the accuracy of reporting data and its compliance with applicable regulations and requirements;
• Monitors changes in legislation and evaluates their impact on reporting and regulatory metrics;
• Participates in strategic projects related to the implementation of new regulations and the digitalization of reporting processes;
• Manages and develops the team, ensuring professional training and internal expertise.

Your qualifications and skills:

• University degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or a related field;
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in regulatory reporting, bank accounting, or financial control;
• In-depth knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), strong understanding of credit risk, classification, and impairment of financial assets;
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements of national regulators and the EU;
• Experience in team management and project leadership;
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail;
• Proficiency in English – both written and spoken;
• Excellent computer skills – Excel; experience with BI tools and ERP systems is an advantage.
