11.10.2024 BDB to add new members to Board of Directors and Supervisory Board
The Bulgarian Development Bank will complete its Supervisory Board and Board of Directors with one new member each.
Dimitar Mitev, the Bank's long-standing Head of Finance, will join the Supervisory Board, and Ivaylo Moskovski, former Vice President of Operations and board member of the Black Sea Trade and Development Bank, is set to join the Bank’s operational management as a member of the Board of Directors and Executive Officer.
Dimitar Mitev is a recognized expert with 32 years of experience in banking. He holds a master’s degree in finance from the University of National and World Economy, with numerous additional qualifications. Mitev is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). He has been with the Bulgarian Development Bank since 2011, having successively headed the Planning, Analysis and Regulation division, the Compliance division, and the Finance division. He was also a member of the Board of Directors of the National Guarantee Fund, part of the BDB Group.
Mitev’s professional path also included roles at HVB Bank Biochim (now part of UniCredit Bulbank), CIBank, Eurobank (Postbank), and Deloitte Bulgaria.
Ivaylo Moskovski has a degree in Public Finance from the University of National and World Economy and another in Financial Management from the D. Tsenov Academy of Economics, Svishtov.
For 4 years, he was part of the management team at the Black Sea Trade and Development Bank, based in Thessaloniki. As VP of Operations in charge of Risk, he led projects on implementing and monitoring risk policies and was responsible for the Bank’s ESG policy.
Moskovski was Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications in the period 2011-2013; 2014-2017 and 2017-2018.
He was also a member of the 42nd and 44th National Assembly and was part of the Transport and Energy Committees. From 2009 to 2011 he was Deputy Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications, overseeing the Managing Authority of the Operational Programme on Transport (2007-2013) and representing Bulgaria in the TRACECA initiative.
