BDB will support the innovation and digitalisation of small and medium-sized businesses

Bulgarian Development Bank has created a new financial instrument to support digitalisation and implementation of innovations in small and medium-sized enterprises. Companies can use financing in the amount of up to EUR 2 million with a maximum repayment term of up to 12 years. The support is implemented with guarantees from the European Investment Fund under the "Innovation and Digitalisation" window of the InvestEU Programme and will be provided by BDB under better price conditions.

The funds are intended for innovative companies that implement innovations and digital technologies or have research and development activities. Entrepreneurs developing new business models through digitalisation, implementing innovative products or investing in implementation of artificial intelligence, drones and robotics, will also be supported.

Companies are required to be small and medium-sized enterprises. They can apply for investment loans and working capital loans, including guarantees for good performance.

The InvestEU Programme provides key long-term financing to support the sustainable development of the EU. It helps to mobilize private investment to fulfill priority goals such as the European Green Deal and the digital transition.
