28.02.2023 BDB’s Advisory Board held founding meeting with participation of nationally representative employers' organizations
The associations will assist the Bank in developing appropriate programs for businesses
The nationally representative employers' organizations expressed their readiness to advise the management of the Bulgarian Development Bank in the creation of new programs and products of the BDB Group. In this way, the institution will be able to offer adequate instruments that meet the financial needs of businesses.
The Advisory Board should also provide a workable communication channel between BDB and the business community through which members can be informed about current financial programs and products. It will also ensure public scrutiny of the Bank's activities by receiving and analyzing, from time to time, information on the Bank's performance in meeting its goals and objectives as laid down in the BDB Act.
This was made clear at the first meeting of the Advisory Board, which was established at the initiative of the Bank's Supervisory Board. The Chairman of the new body is BDB’s Supervisory Board Chairman. As representatives of the employers' organizations, its members are Dobrin Ivanov, Executive Officer of the Association of Industrial Capital in Bulgaria (AICB), Stanislav Popdonchev, Deputy Chairman of the Bulgarian Industrial Association (BIA), Vasil Todorov, BCCI Board member, Evgeny Ivanov, member of the Board and Executive Officer of the Confederation of Employers and Industrialists in Bulgaria (CEIB), and Vladimir Danailov, expert from the Union for Private Economic Enterprise.
