Transparency International Bulgaria confirmed the good corporate governance and business integrity of the Bulgarian Development Bank (BDB). In 2023, at the initiative of the bank’s Supervisory Board and the management of the association, the two organizations signed a memorandum of cooperation in the field of anti-corruption and the introduction of additional management rules and good practices in the bank’s group.
Experts of the Transparency International Bulgaria made a detailed analysis of the internal procedures and processes in the bank and helped to upgrade and improve the system for preventing wrongdoing in the institution, as well as for managing signals for them (whistleblowing system).
The Bulgarian Development Bank and its subsidiaries follow a policy of zero tolerance for illegal or unethical business conduct. The bank is committed to creating and maintaining a culture of openness within its organizational framework, providing protection for raising concerns about wrongdoing at an early stage.
